Upcoming News Candle Scaping Pillar Candles make the ideal shape and size for most candle home decorating need. Combined with a plate, some shells or rocks and three pillars of varying sizes or colors, you can create a great arrangement. For example, lets try a simple centerpiece for a coffee table top or end table top. I found a small wood tray about 12" by 9"; with a lip on the sides of about 1". I placed a layer of fine white sand in the tray. I then placed three pillar candles of different sizes in the tray, with no particular pattern. Once you have your candles how you want them, you can place small rocks around each candle. But for a more interesting look you could add shells, pebbles, marbles or even some stained glass around the candles. How about something more creative. Things you will need, plain white plate or plate with a simple design. For best results, use a pewter plate. One pillar candle 9" tall. Foam Ring that will fit around your candle. Beard Moss. Skeleton Leaves (color of pillar). Glue. Dried berries or other colorful small items. And about 5 to 10 min's. The first step is to place the foam ring around your pillar. Next glue the beard moss around the foam, covering all the visible foam. Now you take your leaves and layer them around the candle, using a drop of glue, place them on the moss butting up against the pillar. But don't glue them to the pillar. Last place dried berries under the leaves. The drieds will show beautiful through the translucent skeleton leaves. That is it. You now have a decorative centerpiece. And when the candle is gone you can simply place another candle in the ring. For More info about Candle Scaping, please check out the book below.
